7 things that make jewellery look premium in photos

Gold, diamonds and silver are hard to photograph. Here is what we do at every jewellery shoot in our studio.

1. Light made for metal

Metal reflects everything around it. Soft, large light gives a clean shine, while a small hard light adds sparkle to the stones.

2. One hero, not ten

Choose one hero piece for each photo. A tray full of products looks like a stock list, not a brand.

3. Macro close-ups

Customers zoom in on their phones. A sharp macro shot of the design work builds trust in the quality.

4. Show it worn

A model wearing the set shows the size and how it sits. Face, neck and hands are the three key frames.

5. A clear look for your brand

Pick one style, like a dark night look or a bright bridal look, and keep it across all posts. That is how people remember you.

6. Clean edits, real colours

Remove dust and scratches, but keep the colour of gold true. If the product looks different in the shop, trust drops.

7. Plan photos and reels together

One planned shoot day can give you catalogue photos, reels and ads. It saves time and money.
